This workshop is for people who have lived through changes and want to shape it into stories others can understand. We’ll focus on recognizing the internal narratives we carry and reflecting them in language that invites others to bear witness. Through short, structured exercises, students will practice turning private experiences into clear, resonant writing — without tipping into diary or confession.

Katie’s own path informs this approach. After her brother Toby’s death, she wrote and published his adventure story, weaving his notes, photos, and GoPro footage into a narrative that honours his journey and her own. That process — building resilience through careful use of language and story — is at the heart of this session.
